This site provides fans and listeners of Australian FM Broadcasters with a
simple, intuitive way of navigating to their favourite radio stations'
website.
Radio stations constantly link their operating frequency to their branding
message; listeners can then easily tune their car radio to the advertised
frequency, and listen to their favourite on-air brand; with the station's
frequency prominently displayed in the middle of their dashboard !
Our site aims to make the logical connection between the way listeners
remember a radio brand (by frequency), and the way they browse the web;
we're the link between dashboard and keyboard !
Take a listener who likes driving around listening to 94.5 FM. When they get
to work, or back home, the intuitive website address is 94.5fm.com.au (or
maybe add the ubiquitous "www" in front: www.94.5fm.com.au)... but which
94.5FM radio station? The same frequency is re-used across Australia, from
"The Mix" in Perth, through to the ABC's JJJ in Goulburn Valley.
To help a listener find the right station, we've listed them all in one place.
For example, the 94.5FM radio stations are listed at http://5fm.com.au/94.5/
and the 106.9FM radio stations are listed at http://9fm.com.au/106.9/
Most of the fields presented in the results of a listing are clickable,
allowing listeners to explore other stations around them, to see what else
shares the same frequency, or to learn more about the station's license
details (via a link to the ACMA's database).
Please note that at this time, we have not included LPON (Low Power Open
Narrowcasting) stations, and you may find that some stations are missing from
the listings, or that some details are incomplete, or even in error! Please
contact us by email with additional information if you can help improve the
quality of this service.
Enjoy!
